Network Administrator

Location: Field Office

Purpose: To glorify God and assist in establishing mature churches equipped for maturity and multiplication among the least reached people groups by maintaining network systems, security and connectivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with and encourage your fellow NTM PNG team members in all aspects of living and service. 
  • Plan upgrade and maintain network and communication equipment. 
  • Setup and maintain VPN services and bandwidth optimization. 
  • Maintain network security and availability for workstations in the primary and remote locations.

Requirements

  • Other Requirements
    • Maintain a growing relationship with Christ and a willingness to work with a diverse team. • Networking certification. • A good understanding of network operating systems, network equipment and networking protocols.

Software Developer / Programmer

Location: Field Office

Purpose: To glorify God and assist in establishing mature churches equipped for maturity and multiplication among the least reached people groups by developing and maintaining in-house computer software.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with and encourage our fellow NTM PNG team members in all aspects of living and service.
  • Learn and analyze NTM PNG specific business processes.
  • Plan, develop, and maintain new features for the NTM PNG Intranet.
  • Work with our business departments to maintain our ERP and reporting systems.

System Administrator

Location: Field Office

Purpose: to glorify God and assist in establishing mature churches equipped for maturity and multiplication among the least reached people groups by maintaining system hardware, software and Office 365.

Responsibilities: Collaborate with and encourage your fellow NTM PNG team members in all aspects of living and service.  Plan, upgrade, and maintain system hardware and software.  Undertake recovery action in the event of a system failure.  Assist in maintaining an Office365 environment.

Dentist

Purpose: Provide dental care services, promote oral health awareness and health maintenance primarily for missionaries & PNG citizens.

Requirements

    A DMD or DDS degree plus an active dental practitioner license is required for the position of an associate dentist.

Tech Services

Location: Regional Support Center

Purpose: The purpose of NTM PNG is to assist the local church to plant mature churches among least reached people groups.

Responsibilities: The NTM PNG Tech Services team exists to support the church planting effort here in PNG by providing research and development, project management, training citizens, and repairs on items that need a higher level of knowledge in order to free up the various teams to focus their time and energy on church development goals.

Requirements

    A high level of knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Electrical / electronics (AC, DC, and/or solar), Construction / carpentry, Water systems, HVAC, Mechanics, Engineering, Project management, Leadership, Training planning & management.

Elementary Teachers

Location: Numonohi Christian Academy, Highlands

Purpose: The purpose of NCA is to glorify God and to assist in the establishing and development of mature tribal churches throughout PNG by supporting parents in providing a Christ-centered education for their children.

Responsibilities: To teach elementary children.

Requirements

Nurse

Location: Support Center

Purpose: Nurses play a vital role on the church planting team by providing for the health care needs of missionaries locally and in remote locations. Nurses also impact the local community by caring for the medical needs of many local citizen workers.

Responsibilities:

  • Room and screen patients, record vital signs and chief complaint.
  • Perform medical procedures such as IV placements, suture removal, foley catheter, etc.
  • Perform medical tests such as vision, hearing, and ECG tests. Assist physician with procedures such as minor surgeries. 
  • Basic wound care/management.
  • Collect/process lab specimens.
  • Provide patient discharge instructions and education.
  • Complete patient charge forms when needed.
  • Answer emails and return phone calls- (triage training and materials are available).
  • Clean and stock procedure and exam rooms.
  • Maintain accurate and complete nursing notes in patient medical records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

    • Registered/Licensed nurse preferred. • Competent nursing skills are required • Good computer skills including email (useful), Word (useful) and Excel (useful). • Must be willing to work as a member of a team. This requires flexibility. Must be able to get along well with others. • Prefer at least one year experience as a registered/licensed nurse; emergency room experience desirable; other experience such as primary care nurse in physician setting may be useful.

Secondary Science Teacher

Location: Numonohi Christian Academy, Highlands

Purpose: To glorify God and assist in establishing churches in PNG that are equipped for maturity and multiplication by supporting parents in providing a Christ-centered education for their children.

Responsibilities: Curriculum development and lesson planning with Biblical integration.  Teach students in subjects assigned according to curriculum.  Appropriately manage classroom and student discipline.  Attendance required at staff meetings, in-services and school functions.

Technology Teacher

Location: Numonohi Christian Academy, Highlands

Purpose: The purpose of Numonohi Christian Academy is to glorify God and to assist in the establishment and development of mature tribal churches throughout Papua New Guinea by supporting parents in providing a Christ-centered education for their children.

Responsibilities: To teach Technology to all grades.

Requirements

Secondary English Teacher

Location: Numonohi Christian Academy, Highlands

Purpose: The purpose of NCA is to glorify God and to assist in the establishing and development of mature tribal churches throughout PNG by supporting parents in providing a Christ-centered education for their children.

Responsibilities: To teach English to secondary students.

Church Planter

Purpose: The goal of a church planting team is to present a clear understanding of the message of the Bible to see New Testament churches established and brought to spiritual maturity through continued teaching, discipleship, and Bible translation.

Responsibilities:

Upon arrival in PNG church planters begin with study of the national trade language and PNG culture, orientation to the wider team and ministries and specific equipping for the PNG context. Keeping interdependence with the existing PNG National Church in mind, church planters will then form teams, move into ministry locations, and begin building relationships as students of the local culture and language. After reaching proficiency in a specific culture and language, the ongoing work toward church maturity is begun in earnest.  In most cases the church planting team is involved in creating a literacy program and training local teachers. Church planters will also produce a systematic Bible curriculum and translate Old Testament portions and the New Testament into the local language.  While performing those tasks, the work of the church planter is to live out the truths and are being taught, by word and deed discipling new believers toward maturity and training up leaders for the local church.

Information Management Specialist

Location: Field Office, Highlands

Purpose: The Information Manager plays a critical role on the church planting team. The mission in PNG has information in many areas including Bible translation, people group assessments, tribal ministry materials and citizen training. Keeping this information current and accessible allows us to move forward in church planting as well as fulfill government requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to capture, organize, centralize, archive, maintain and access current and future organization-wide information.
  • Train people to input and retrieve data. This includes:
    • Identify what information needs to be captured, both current and future.
    • Identify the uses of that information.
    • Develop methods to collect information.
    • Develop methods for personnel to access relevant information.
  • Coordinate completion and collection of timely and routine reports.
  • Gather information from other organizations, NGOs and government agencies.
  • Compile and maintain a detailed inventory of existing information resources.
  • Regularly reassess information strategies in light of company priorities and goals as well as technology changes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation in these areas.
